Travis - most people think he's the man. If for no other reason, I think you have to just really respect him for the way he handles his weapons - just brutally efficient. This vid will show you that keeping a gun on safe (an AK in this example) is not going to hinder your ability to engage your target or enemy quickly. Note that LACK of difference in timing as he shows you the two options.
So what's the conclusion? Keep your weapon on safe until you are ready to fire it - period. If you have a real steel gun - that's common sense. If you have an airsoft gun, treat it like real steel firearm and you won't have to ever wonder if you are being safe enough.
