Speed Reload of Carbine

Speed reload.  If you are going to be an effective shooter, getting a mag in the weapon efficiently is going to be one of the most vital skills you have.  Haley notes a couple key ideas in the vid that you should think through, and let me add a few as well.

1. Where do you hold your weapon when you reload?  He gives a few different options and talks about the realities of each one.  At the core, I'd recommend you get comfortable with the static reload and then move to reloading on the move.

2. If you are a real steel shooter who uses airsoft to train, you'll know that your bolt will only be locking back if you use a gas carbine (though this is changing with modern technology).  So do you bother looking into the chamber when you feel you are out of rounds?  My vote - yes.  If you want to translate from airsoft training to real steel, do it like you mean it.  Even if you can tell you are out of BBs, great - STILL look at the ejection port so you are mastering one movement and progression in the process of reloading.  Also, Haley notes that what you think you "know" about your gun ("I know the bolt just locked back") might be harder to do if we are in high-stress situations.

3. Be aware of your opfor and your own fire team - be careful of sweeping people.  Muzzle control is always vital.
